John R. Buhrman, a Chattanooga native, earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and began his legal career with two years at UBS Trust Company before joining his father's practice in 2002. During law school, he received the Book Award in estate planning for the highest grade in the class. Licensed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and active in the Tennessee Bar Association's Elder Law, Estate Planning & Probate sections, John holds the highest possible rating ("A-V") from Martindale-Hubbell, awarded based on evaluations by other attorneys and judges. He regularly speaks to attorneys, professionals, and the public on Chattanooga estate planning and probate matters.
