Patterson, Jr. With nearly two decades of combined experience spanning law enforcement, prosecution, and private practice, Patterson brings a distinctive perspective to the firm's diverse practice areas.

Patterson began his career as a Police Officer with the City of Charleston Police Department, serving nearly five years in both the Uniformed Patrol Division and the Office of Professional Standards. That foundation in investigative procedures and evidentiary matters shaped his approach to legal problem-solving. He then served as an Assistant Solicitor in the Ninth Judicial Circuit covering Berkeley County, where he successfully tried numerous criminal cases to verdict and handled matters ranging from drug and property crimes to serious violent offenses. Before establishing Patterson Law Group, he worked as an attorney with a large Southeastern regional corporate law firm, representing insurers, corporations, and employers in complex litigation and coverage disputes. Most recently, he co-founded and managed a successful statewide practice for seven years, expanding its service offerings to meet the needs of clients across South Carolina.
