Adrienne grew up on a ranch north of Billings as the youngest of ten children, which she credits with teaching her to advocate for the underdog. She is part of a long line of Montana lawyers and takes pride in representing individuals who might otherwise lack access to justice. Her practice encompasses employment discrimination, wage disputes, personal injury claims including sexual assault and wrongful death, traumatic brain injuries, and general civil litigation. She is admitted to practice in Montana, Colorado, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and maintains admission to both Montana state and federal courts. Additionally, she practices before administrative agencies including the Montana Human Rights Bureau and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Tranel's legal education includes a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, earned cum laude, as well as a master's degree in International Relations from Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset and an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers' College, an intensive program known for developing trial advocacy skills. Currently, she co-chairs the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Montana Trial Lawyers' Association and serves on the board of the Poverello Center, demonstrating her commitment to community involvement and professional development.
