When earlier partnerships dissolved as senior attorneys retired or relocated, founding partner James F. Lemon continued the firm's legacy, building upon the foundation of experience and commitment to the region that characterizes its practice today.

James F. Lemon, a University of Missouri School of Law graduate who has practiced since 1992, brings extensive experience in government law, real estate, probate, estate planning, contracts, criminal defense, and civil matters. He has served as City Attorney for Hannibal since 2003 and as Palmyra Prosecutor since 2015, combining his legal practice with a long-standing role as general manager of Wells Abstract Company. Andrew Patterson, who earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2022, joined the firm as an associate attorney and focuses on municipal prosecution, family law, estate planning, and other civil matters.
