Vollertsen, Britt & Gorsline, P.C. has served the Quad Cities and surrounding areas since its founding in 1933, when it began as Phelps Vollertsen to provide title work during Davenport's lock and dam construction project. The firm became the longest-running original law partnership in Iowa until 1963, when founder Lowell Phelps was appointed to the 7th Judicial District Court. Following that transition, Dennis Britt joined in 1964, and the practice continued to expand, eventually creating many of the abstracts for Scott County. Michael L. Gorsline brought the firm into its current era when he joined in 1998, leading to its present name in 2007.

Today, the firm is led by Managing Attorney Michael L. Gorsline alongside attorneys Monique C. Gorsline and Leslie E. Aboud, bringing over 60 years of combined experience to their practice. Vollertsen, Britt & Gorsline focuses on real estate, estate planning, probate, corporate entity formation and management, and contract review across Iowa and Illinois.
