McCarthy Legal, PLLC is a Boise-based civil law practice founded and managed by Shannon McCarthy, an Idaho native with more than fifteen years of legal experience. Shannon began her career as a paralegal before attending Concordia University School of Law as part of its inaugural class in 2012. She maintained her paralegal work throughout law school, earned her limited law license, and went on to pass the Idaho bar.

The firm handles civil litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, personal injury matters, business law, and estate planning. McCarthy brings practical insight to each practice area, having worked both sides of the attorney-client relationship before becoming licensed to practice independently.

Beyond her commercial and litigation work, Shannon is deeply committed to serving vulnerable families and children in her community. She completed guardian ad litem training through Family Advocates and has provided pro bono legal representation in child protection cases throughout Ada County since obtaining her juris doctor. In June 2019, she was selected to serve on the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act's Citizen Review Panel for Idaho's Fourth District, a role she continues in order to help shape legislative protections for at-risk youth.
