The firm maintains offices in Thomson and Augusta, Georgia, allowing it to serve clients across the region with accessible local representation.

John P. Wills earned his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1981 and has practiced law for over four decades. After law school, he practiced at another Thomson firm for more than ten years, handling a broad range of matters including criminal defense and court-appointed representation in serious cases. In 1994, he established his own practice, which has since evolved to focus on core areas where he delivers the most value to clients.

In June 2017, the firm underwent transition when Samuel Fowler retired and John's son, Charles W. Wills, joined the practice. The firm's name changed to reflect this shift in ownership and leadership, and a second location opened in Augusta to better serve the broader community.
